All Preteen and Teen classes follow an 8 week schedule.
Cost per 8 week class session is $240.00

Class times are for both Oak Park and La Grange locations, unless
otherwise indicated.

 

Pre-Teen Wheel Throwing (9-12 yrs.)

This class provides an introduction to wheel throwing. The focus will be on basic cylinder and bowl forms. Techniques for surface embellishment with texture and slips also covered.

Teen Wheel Throwing (12-16 yrs.)

This class is for the student who, at this age, is physically ready for the challenges of the potter’s wheel. Basic to advanced throwing techniques will be covered, as well as an introduction to glazes and firing

Metals/Jewelry Making (12-16 yrs.)

Students will create their own designs out of brass, copper and silver. A variety of skills, such as the sawing, hammering, texturing, stamping, soldering, stone setting and polishing of metals will be taught during these project based classes. Cost of Copper and Brass included.
