Empty Bowls Fundraiser
(La Grange)

The Empty Bowls event will be held April 22ND from 6-9PM at the La Grange location.
Proceeds will go to local food pantries at 2ND Baptist Church, Saint Francis Xavier Church
and Saint Cletus.

Empty Bowls is an international fundraiser aimed at alleviating world hunger by working locally. The basic idea for Empty Bowls is simple. Potters create a variety of ceramic bowls. Guests purchase a bowl, for a minimum donation, to use that day and to keep as a reminder that there are always Empty Bowls in the world. We have bowls by students and staff at Terra incognito, Lyons Township High School, and Proviso West High School.

The Terra Incognito Empty Bowls event uses a different model for our event. Bowls purchased at our event may be used at any of the participating business or restaurants, in downtown
La Grange, to receive a portion of whatever it is they are serving. Businesses will provide special offers to anyone who has purchased a bowl, as well. Last year's event was great fun and a great success. We were fortunate enough to raise over $9,000.00 in approximately 2 hours. Come early. Our doors open at 6PM. It's as much fun choosing your bowl as it is to stroll the Village.
